The steps for preparing this vegetable quiche
You will see that eating well is not difficult. This vegetable quiche is real child’s play, but also, economical and nourishing. Here’s how to prepare this winter vegetable recipe step by step.
To start, get a leek. Remove the outer leaf, cut it into slices, then place these sections in a colander. Rinse the leek pieces with clear water, so as to remove dirt and remains of soil.
Peel the carrots and onion. Cut the carrots into slices and slice the onion. Take a large frying pan or sauté pan, and add inside a knob of butter or a drizzle of olive oil, depending on your preference.
Heat over medium heat, then add the vegetables to your pan. Brown everything until your winter vegetables are very tender.
Meanwhile, take a salad bowl or a mixing bowl and add the three whole eggs inside. Pour in 20 cl of liquid crème fraîche, then salt and pepper. At this stage, and according to your tastes, you can add a pinch of nutmeg. Mix well using a fork.
Take a pie dish, place the shortcrust pastry at the bottom. Place the cooked vegetables on top, then pour the quiche mixture into a second bowl. Those with a sweet tooth can add a little grated cheese on top, but it is not an obligation.
Put the whole thing in the oven 200°C, for 30 to 40 minutes. The quiche should come out nicely golden, and that’s it! So, eating well is within everyone’s reach. Enjoy your food.
