White vinegar is your best ally when you are cleaning your interior. But can you also use it in your dishwasher? Answer below.
The dishwasher is the key to cleaning your utensils. Cutlery, plates, glasses, pans… These compartments can accommodate all the things that help us cook on a daily basis. But for this device to be ultra efficient, it must also be carefully maintained.
And for good reason… Over the course of your uses, food residue can accumulate in its various corners. Scale and limescale are also the dishwasher’s worst enemies. Many French people are therefore trying by all means to find solutions to preserve their dishwasher and extend its lifespan.
But which products should you choose to thoroughly clean your device? Many chemicals are available for sale. These are particularly effective, but we do not recommend them to you. Indeed, by integrating them into your dishwasher, you take the risk of damaging the proper functioning of it, as well as that of your body.
Fortunately, there are natural and economical alternatives that are just as effective in eliminating residue, scale and bad odors, while respecting your dishwasher and the environment.
Is white vinegar the most effective natural trick for cleaning your dishwasher?
Among the most cited possibilities, we have white vinegar. This natural ingredient is very popular for cleaning up in the kitchen in particular. But is its use also recommended for cleaning the dishwasher?
According to experts interviewed by Le Figarothe answer is yes. Provided you use it sparingly. With white vinegar, you can descale and degrease a large part of your appliance. However, it is important not to overuse it, because its acidity can, in the long term, weaken the seals and metal parts of your dishwasher.
It can also disrupt the effectiveness of the rinse aids you use in your dishwasher.
The alternative to white vinegar for your dishwasher
Instead, focus on other references if you can. We think in particular of black soap. Just like white vinegar, this ingredient is ultra degreasing. You can therefore wash your device in the best possible way.
But this one is preferred by specialists because its composition is less aggressive. Black soap can make even the most delicate surfaces shine. You just have to dilute it in a liter of hot water. And use the resulting solution to scrub every corner of the dishwasher.
