Make these German Mulled Wine Cookie Bars to enjoy as a traditional German Christmas treat. So wunderbar! Just like Oma’s Mulled wine cake from the sheet metal that she used to make.

Mulled winemulled wine cake, is a very traditional dessert that is served during the Christmas season. Often it is made in a Bundt form, but for ease, it’s also made as a sheet cake and then cut into the traditional diamond shapes.
Use my recipe for homemade Mulled wine. It’s so simple to make, you’ll make a double batch, just to enjoy sipping as you eat these cookie bars.
You will see in the photo above that the cookies have been dusted with powdered sugar. That’s totally optional.
When they are topped with the Glühwein glaze, it absorbs into the tops of the cookies. Dusting with powdered sugar looks so pretty, but not necessary.
Mulled wine (mulled wine) is a very traditional German drink that’s served during the Christmas season. You can enjoy it as you wander throughout the many Christmas markets that are sprinkled through Germany.
It is so easy to make at home and serve for your holiday gatherings. As the spicy aroma fills the air, you’ll think you’re back in Germany.
It’s also the perfect flavoring to add to this Christmas sheet cake. You can either serve the cake with a good cup of coffee, or a hot mug of Mulled wine to make the season merry and bright!
