Cyril Lignac arrives with a new kitchen appointment on M6, where recipes and secrets mingle with ease.
This is not an expedition to the end of the world, but a one-on-one in the kitchen that M6 is preparing with Cyril Lignac. The chef, a figure of the chain for two decades, will sit down in the second part of the evening for an intimate format: three guests will come and prepare a dish full of memories and, by cooking with him, will unfold the threads of a story, a bond and an emotion.
The project has its origins in a meeting with Frédéric Lopez on the setA Sunday in the countryside. From this conversation was born the idea of a program where cooking becomes a pretext to talk, simply, around a recipe that counts. The name of this new concept? Meet at Cyril Lignac.
The birth of a new format with Cyril Lignac
For Frédéric Lopez, the idea came from an almost anecdotal, but revealing detail. DuringA Sunday in the countrysidehe confided to Cyril Lignac: “It’s funny, I think I will never invite you to dinner ». A way of admitting the pressure we feel cook in front of a chef.
This remark then becomes starting point. “Cyril came in A Sunday in the countryside and he calls me 2-3 days later to tell me ‘we need to do something together, I love your teams‘”, he says during the press conference for the launch of the show, reports Tele-Leisure.
Then the reflection becomes more refined: “What would happen if personalities cooked for Cyril ? » The idea appeals. The concept is built around personal exchanges, meaningful recipes and simple and direct discussions.
Cyril Lignac, for his part, immediately recognized himself in this proposal. “I love Fred, he’s brilliant, I like emotionunderstand, I am curious, I like to discuss »he explains. In this show, the kitchen becomes a pretext, a neutral ground where words unfold without artifice.
“It’s great because we discover cooking, we share, we give advice. It’s another prism of a show that was never made.”he still asserts. Neither a culinary challenge nor a classic portrait, but a space where we cooking as they say : simply, with confidence.
A new side of Cyril Lignac
For Frédéric Lopez, the interest of this program lies in the place given to cooking as a starting point for personal stories. “Cyril is going to make Cyril, he has a thousand questions about cooking and about their lives because as soon as we talk about a dish we talk about his family, we talk about his values. It’s a extraordinary front door. No one has ever seen him in this exercise either, it was a little leap into the void”he emphasizes.
The idea is therefore not to transform the chef, but to offer him a space where its natural curiosities become a source of discussion. The channel has confirmed that the show will be broadcast from Thursday November 20, in the second part of the evening, just After The Best Pastry Chefat 11:20 p.m.
For the first broadcasts, three personalities have already been announced: Anne-Sophie Lapix, Michou and Ahmed Syllaeveryone invited to cook a dish that tells something about them. A simple device, designed to let the conversation builds itselfwithout forcing emotion.
